FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Independent School District swore in two board members and elected new board officers at their Monday, June 8, 2015, meeting.
Sworn in were Mike White and newly elected Barbara Jo Green to positions 4 and 3, respectively. White, in his second term, has been serving on the board since 2012. Green is replacing Heath Carroll who she defeated in the May general election.
Board President Keith Bell was re-elected as the board president with Greg Pharris serving as vice president. Kathy Hall was elected secretary of the board. The officer positions are held for one year.
Board of Trustees are elected for three-year terms.
