FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Independent School District's Board of Trustees awarded two scholarships to departing seniors at their Monday night, May 19, 2014, board meeting.
The scholarships were granted to North Forney High School senior Lauren Frederick and Forney High School senior Sabrynna Cox. Each student received a $3,000 scholarship.
The scholarships were made possible by contributions from the Forney Independent School District's 2nd Annual Sunset Scramble Scholarship Golf Tournament which was held on May 9, 2014, at the Creekview Golf Course in Crandall, Texas.
