FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to extend Superintendent Suzie McWilliams’ contract through July 2019.
The vote, which was unanimous among the board members, was taken after an executive session at the board’s regularly scheduled meeting on January 7, 2016.
McWilliams has been with the Forney Independent School district since 2010 when she was hired as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and was later named the Deputy Superintendent in 2011. McWilliams was named superintendent in June 2014 after the departure of then-superintendent Michael Holland.
