Forney ISD, Eastfield College to host dual credit information sessions

FORNEY, Texas — The Forney ISD, in connection with Eastfield College, will host two dual credit information sessions for students and their parents.

FORNEY, Texas — The Forney ISD, in connection with Eastfield College, will host two dual credit information sessions for students and their parents.

The meetings will begin with dual credit presentations by Eastfield College representatives followed by a question and answer session and online application breakout sessions.

Information will also be provided on dual credit scholarships offered through the Forney Education Foundation.

“Forney ISD works with Eastfield College to offer the Dual Credit courses,” stated the district. “Students that complete a dual credit course can earn both high school credits and college credits from the same course.”

Students attending the meetings should bring their Chromebooks.

Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and are scheduled through 8:30 p.m. The first meeting will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017, at the Forney High School auditorium. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the North Forney High School auditorium. Online application and question and answer sessions will be available in the respective campus cafeterias following the presentations in the auditorium.
