Forney ISD graduates more than 500, top grads honored

FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Independent School District graduated more than 500 seniors from Forney High School and North Forney High School with back-to-back graduation ceremonies at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Independent School District graduated more than 500 seniors from Forney High School and North Forney High School with back-to-back graduation ceremonies at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

This year's valedictorians are Rebekah Justice from Forney High School and Kelsey Oudshoorn from North Forney High School. Justice finished high school with a 5.8170 grade point average and plans to attend Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California, to study computer science or physics. Oudshoorn plans to study pre-occupational therapy and music theatre at a yet-to-be-determined college.

This year's salutatorians are Trent Taylor from Forney High School and Katie Emmons from North Forney High School. Taylor plans to attend the United States Naval Academy and study mechanical engineering. Emmons plans to attend Mary-Hardin Baylor to study pre-med biology.
