FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School (NFHS) Sapphire Strutters and the Forney High School (FHS) Highsteppers performed in the Children’s Health Holiday Parade earlier this month.
FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School (NFHS) Sapphire Strutters and the Forney High School (FHS) Highsteppers performed in the Children’s Health Holiday Parade earlier this month.
The parade was held December 5, 2015, and televised on December 12, 2015, on the Dallas-Fort Worth area ABC affiliate, WFAA-TV.
“The Strutters performed with the Dallas Summer Musicals Academy,” according to Forney ISD in a Monday release. “The Highsteppers were a part of the opening number along with 600 dancers and were also featured on WFAA's morning newscast.”
NFHS drill team instructor is Teelee Phileger assisted by Julie Penisten and the FHS drill team instructor is Stacie Weisberg assisted by Wendy Wehmeyer.
