FORNEY, Texas — Five students have been named North Forney’s Outstanding Performers of the Week for the week of September 14, 2015.
FORNEY, Texas — Five students have been named North Forney’s Outstanding Performers of the Week for the week of September 14, 2015.
The students were selected based on their performance at the North Forney High School football game against Terrell High School. “These students truly embody the pride and spirit of Falcon Nation!” stated the North Forney High School Fine Arts Department.
The students selected were senior Taylor Foster, junior Alex Peters, senior Kenna Holcomb, junior Avery Cummings, and junior Lauren McCrohan.
Foster is serving in her second year as Brass Captain for the band and lead trumpet player. Peters, a percussionists, serving in his second year as a drum captain for the band and his third year as a tenor player. Holcomb, a senior performer with the color guard and winter guard, is serving her second year as color guard captain for the band program and her fourth year in the program.
Cummings is the Rookie Strutter of the week for the North Forney Sapphire Strutters. McCrohan is the Veteran Strutter of the week for the North Forney Sapphire Strutters and is a third-year member of the Sapphire Strutters.
