FORNEY - North Forney High School Senior Evelyn Acosta was recognized on March 10 in Austin for having her artwork selected for the Texas Art Education Association Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition.
According to a statement by the District, Acosta's artwork is one of one hundred that will be shown at the Bullock Texas State History Museum.
"Evelyn Acosta, a senior at North Forney High School, was recognized on March 10 in Austin for having her artwork selected for the Texas Art Education Association Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition," said Kelly Juntunen with Forney ISD.
"Evelyn's artwork "The Weight of the Soul" was selected from hundreds of student submissions from across the state of Texas and is one of 100 pieces that will be shown at the Bullock Texas State History Museum."
Youth Art Month is an annual celebration to highlight the value of art education.
