Terrell ISD mourns loss of longtime educator

TERRELL, Texas โ€” The Terrell community is mourning the loss of a longtime community volunteer and educator, EP Shaw, who passed away Tuesday at the age of 93.

TERRELL, Texas โ€” The Terrell community is mourning the loss of a longtime community volunteer and educator, EP Shaw, who passed away Tuesday at the age of 93.

Shaw was retired from Terrell Independent School District where he worked as teacher and administrator.

โ€œEP Shaw was a genuine man of great character that loved the Lord, his family, and the Tigers,โ€ Terrell Superintendent Micheal French tells inForney.com.

โ€œHis legacy lives on in the many students heโ€™s touched by his kindness, grace and generosity. He is a true example and the embodiment of a servant leader,โ€ French said.

Shaw is survived by his wife, Ruby, who also retired from Terrell ISD after years of service.

The family will host a visitation and wake on Friday, June 28 from 6PM to 8PM at the First Baptist Church in Terrell.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church in Terrell under the direction of Dubose Funeral home.
