FORNEY, Texas — Two Forney Independent School District Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) cadets were recently honored at the Scottish Rite Awards Banquet in Dallas, Texas.
FORNEY, Texas — Two Forney Independent School District Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) cadets were recently honored at the Scottish Rite Awards Banquet in Dallas, Texas.
AFJROTC Cadet Captain Jansen Cowart was awarded the Scottish Rite of Southern Jurisdiction JROTC Award and AFJROTC Cadet Second Lieutenant Brandon Bass was awarded the National Sojourner JROTC Award.
"Both awards recognize the cadets for having contributed the most among cadets on campus to encourage and demonstrate Americanism and by deeds or conduct during participation in extracurricular activities or community service projects," according to Forney ISD.
"In addition, they have demonstrated a potential for outstanding leadership by exhibiting qualities of dependability, good character, self-discipline, good citizenship and patriotism."
