FORNEY, Texas (Forney Independent School District) — The Warren Middle School and Brown Middle School theatre students traveled to Rockwall Heath High School on December 11th for the region UIL One-Act play contest.
Both schools competed against six other middle school theatre programs with Forney Independent School District students coming home with the following awards:
Warren Middle School
Play: Once Upon a Playground
Sydney Mullins -- All-Star Cast Award
Allison Gossett -- Honorable Mention All-Star Cast Award
Jansen Cowart -- All-Star Crew Award
Brown Middle School
Play: Zink: the Myth, the Legend, the Zebra
Team Award: 3rd Place
Anijhia Wright -- All Star Cast
Cole Lee Conner -- Honorable Mention All-Star Cast
Gage Smith -- Honorable Mention All-Star Cast
Isaiah Scruggs -- Honorable Mention All-Star Cast
Linda Kelley is the Warren MS theatre director and Gina Nelson is the Brown MS theatre director.
