The Warren Middle School 8th grade drumline team traveled to Plano, Texas, on Saturday, September 28, 2013, to participate in the 22nd Annual Plano Drumline Competition at Clark Stadium.
The Warren Middle School 8th grade drumline team traveled to Plano, Texas, on Saturday, September 28, 2013, to participate in the 22nd Annual Plano Drumline Competition at Clark Stadium.
The 8th graders performed early Saturday morning in a competition that lasted well into the night with 50 to 60 other performances from teams all across Texas. The participation in the event marks the first time in Warren Middle School history their drumline team has taken part in a contest, according to Forney High School Percussion Instructor Mario Luna.
Luna said, “The drumline did an outstanding job in their division.” Members of of the Forney High School drumline team along with Luna assist in teaching the drumline. The Warren Middle School Band Directors are Cody Russell and Emily Keliher.
Recognized are Warren Middle School 8th grade drumline members Connor Rowe, Brynn Weber, Evan Donelson, Erik Braun, Ross Everett, Peyton Birdwell, Erica Stocks, Alyssa Vargas, Michael Esquivel Jr., and Adam Escobedo.
