In 2013, inForney.com experienced substantial growth in just its second year of news operations in Kaufman County. Originally only covering news in Forney, inForney.com reached out to surrounding cities for coverage that matters to Forney area residents. The additional coverage has amounted to an increase of 71% of unique visitors to visit inForney.com, totaling 313,128 readers – compared to the only other local news provider in Forney, Texas, The Forney Messenger, which reports a weekly circulation number of 2,418.
As a result of the physical demands on the inForney.com website, inForney.com was forced to update to new dedicated servers and introduced a completely new and revamped website that will carry inForney.com to its 2014 goals and beyond. It wasn't all routine, day-to-day operations however. A lot of learning, personnel, equipment – including Mobile 1's complete transformation for live coverage – along with local advertisers, and community members made it all possible.
