Kaufman County veterans and their families are invited to a formal evening of recognition and gratitude on Veterans Day. The 2nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Landmark COC Gymnasium, located at 401 S. Jackson St., Kaufman, TX 75142.
Hosted by local veterans as a public service for fellow veterans, this free event will feature a delicious ribeye steak dinner, along with remarks from special guests, including U.S. Congressman Lance Gooden and Texas State Representative Keith Bell. County Judge Jakie Allen will serve as the master of ceremonies for the evening.
“It will be an evening of recognition, honor, and appreciation for all those who have served in our military,” said event organizers.
Rep. Keith Bell emphasized, “We must never forget the sacrifices our veterans have made for us to be free. It is a debt that can never be repaid.”
County Judge Jakie Allen expressed his commitment to honoring veterans, stating, “We want to honor those who gave up their lives so we can live free at home. I witnessed the poor treatment of returning veterans from Vietnam, and I want to make sure we always honor those who served, and we appreciate their sacrifice.”
The event's Gold Sponsors include Wendy Thomas, James R. Thompson, and Magnolia Dental, each contributing to support the free dinner and celebration. Thomas shared, “Words cannot express how much we appreciate the sacrifices our veterans and loved ones made for our freedom.”
This marks the second year that the appreciation dinner has been held in Kaufman. Organizers encourage residents to notify any veterans, friends, neighbors, or family members who have served in the military so they can take part in this special celebration.
