FORNEY, Texas — The body of a 43-year-old man was recovered from Lake Ray Hubbard on Monday after he went missing on Sunday attempting to save a fellow swimmer, according to the Dallas Police Department.
FORNEY, Texas — The body of a 43-year-old man was recovered from Lake Ray Hubbard on Monday after he went missing on Sunday attempting to save a fellow swimmer, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Police say the man went underwater after giving a life vest to another swimmer who was having difficulties in the rough and choppy water on Sunday.
Rescue crews from several Lake Ray Hubbard agencies including the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Fire-Rescue, and game wardens with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department responded to the lake yesterday at approximately 1 p.m. to assist in the search.
Crews were unable to locate the man’s body on Sunday and returned to the lake early Monday when they made a recovery.
The man’s identity has not been released.
