Though the December 25, 2012 snow was by no means a blizzard in the Forney area, it did accumulate enough to allow for kids to scrape up snow for short snowball fights and to make mini-snowmen. As much fun as it was for the kids, it was less fun for some adults who had to endure loss of power around 7 a.m. Christmas morning. Windmill Farms was among the areas to lose power for about 30 minutes.
