The bridge repairs on westbound U.S. Highway 80, between FM 460 and Pinson Road, in Forney have been postponed to a weekend in the near future. According to the Forney City Manager's Office the repair work is a Texas Department of Transportation project.

TxDOT planned to complete the repairs throughout the week of February 3rd with repairs beginning after 9:00 a.m. as to not interfere with morning rush hour traffic. Unfortunately, this morning , February 4, work began well before 7:00 a.m. and caused delays of more than 45 minutes for frustrated commuters heading to work in Dallas.
With construction postponed, early morning rush hour traffic should flow normally depending on weather and other traffic conditions.
