The Dallas Mavericks Dancers will host their third annual Dance Camp on Saturday, March 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children ages 5 and up. It's an opportunity for kids to work with the outstanding Mavs dancers to gain experience and have a day of dance fun.
All of the Mavericks 20 dancers will be at the camp to help teach camp participants routines in pom, hip hop, and jazz. The routines are those that are actually performed by the Dallas Mavericks Dancers at Mavs home games. The Dallas Mavericks Dancers are in their 24th year of entertaining basketball fans.
A Forney High School graduate, Savannah Elveen, was on the Dance squad last season and is on the 2012-2013 squad as well. Savannah and former Mavericks Dancer Jenna Zmolik, also from Forney, were on hand last April to sign autographs at the Forney Tornado Relief Benefit Concert hosted by inForney.com. The Mavericks also have Forney resident J.J. Tarno as a Mavs ManiAAC this year!
The camp costs $100 and includes a t-shirt, personal autographed poster of the Dancers, question and answer session, along with an option to purchase individual pictures with the Dancers.
Registration is available now on mavs.com. The deadline to enroll is Friday, March 1, 2013.
