Eastbound US Highway 80 travelers should expect delays this week as TxDOT crews work on repairs near the newly constructed HWY 80/FM 548 overpass bridge. According to TxDOT, they will be repairing the “bridge approach.”
The repairs began today, January 21, and the delays were obvious with traffic creeping by at around 35 m.p.h. The repairs are expected to last until Saturday, January 26, until 5 p.m. TxDOT crews will have the left lane closed each day this week from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Also, there are alternating lane closures as crews place deck panels but, a full closure is not expected.
Use caution in the area and watch for workers and slow moving equipment.
