KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A desperate family is hoping that Kaufman County residents might have a clue that will help them locate a woman missing since January 27.
Brenda Lizbeth Montana, 25 of Addison, was last seen at a boyfriend’s house in Log Cabin, Texas located in Henderson County near Cedar Creek Lake during the early morning hours of January 27. Her family reported her missing on January 29 at the Addison Police department.
According to the woman’s family she left a family gathering in Addison to drive to her boyfriend’s home in Log Cabin. The boyfriend tells the family that the woman showed up at his house, he did not allow her inside and she left. No one has heard from her since.
“He originally told us that he had not seen or heard from her,” her sister, Yessica Montanez, tells inForney.com “then later he says she came, he didn’t let her in and she left upset.”
Montanez says that she made the trip with her sister to her boyfriend’s home in December, and that they took the route down Highway 175 through Kaufman. The family is hoping someone might have seen her between January 26-27 in Kaufman County that can provide some clues.
“We are desperate to find her, and bring her home,” Montanez says.
Henderson County Sheriff’s office and Log Cabin Police have both confirmed that Addison Police Department is leading the investigation. There are reportedly no leads at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
Brenda is described as 5 feet tall with brown hair. She was driving a maroon 2011 Mazda with license plate number CZW 4001.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Montanez was last seen was wearing a black sweater, dark blue jeans, and black riding boots.
