The Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers Division is investigating an officer-involved shooting at the request of the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office. A Kaufman County Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the vehicle failed to stop leading deputies on a pursuit. The pursuit ended in the 1400 block of US Highway 175 in Crandall, TX where the suspect fled on foot and fired at Deputies. Deputies exchanged gunfire with the suspect, striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to a Dallas area hospital for medical treatment and remains in stable condition. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information is available.
