The NWS issued a Tornado Watch and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Kaufman County at 4:45 a.m. The Severe Thunderstorm Warning will remain in effect until 5:45 a.m. and the Tornado Watch until 9 a.m.
“Several rounds of rain may occur this evening before the main line of storms moves in overnight,” stated the NWS. “Rainfall amounts of one to three inches with isolated higher totals are possible in the watch area.”
