As promised, all four lanes of FM 741, also known as College Ave, were open for the first day of school in Forney, TX. There are still a couple of months of road work to be completed. Drivers also should take caution when crossing or entering FM 741 at Chestnut, during the early stages of construction the intersection was a 4-way stop. Drivers entering or crossing FM 741 at Chestnut will need to stop and yield to FM 741.
Another thing drivers should watch for are other wrong way drivers. There have been several cars that are not using the proper side of the road, many drivers are accidentally going on the wrong side of FM 741 where the road was previously a 2-way.
