Forney Bridge: 5 Potential Locations, Community Forum on January 30th

Attention Residents of Forney!

Attention Residents of Forney!

Exciting developments are on the horizon as the City of Forney moves forward with plans to alleviate traffic congestion in our community. Following the approval of Proposition E in the November 2022 election, which allocated $52.7 million for road and infrastructure improvements, the City of Forney is considering the addition of a new bridge over the railroad tracks.

The city, in collaboration with WSB Engineering, has identified five potential locations for the bridge: Far West, Pinson Avenue, Oak Street, Chestnut Street, and Far East. This project aims to enhance connectivity and ease the flow of traffic, making our roads safer and more efficient.

To ensure that your voice is heard and to gather your valuable insights, we invite you to attend an open house on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Forney City Hall Annex (101 E. Main St., Council Chambers). This is a crucial opportunity for residents to learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Your participation is vital in shaping the future of our community. We look forward to seeing you there and working together to create a better Forney!

There is also a Facebook Event for the Bridge Open House
