During the City Council meeting held on March 18, 2025, city officials considered the approval of a final plat for the Forney Fire Station No. 2, located at 980 Reeder Lane. The item was submitted by P. Morgan and was recommended for approval by both staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Westwood Engineering, representing the property owner, requested the approval to establish the necessary boundaries and easements for the expansion of the fire station facility. The current fire station is situated on a 3.13-acre property and encompasses an existing building of 11,125 square feet, all of which is located within the Meadow Ridge Farm Planned Development.
The proposed final plat consists of a single lot on the 3.13 acres of land and has been designed in accordance with the City of Forney Zoning Ordinance, the City of Forney Subdivision Ordinance, and the Texas Local Government Code.
On March 6, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the final plat.
