This past Saturday, the marching bands from Forney ISD showcased their musical prowess at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region 3 Marching Contest. Both ensembles achieved an impressive First Division rating, earning qualification to advance to the UIL Area C Marching Contest.
North Forney High School: A Visual Spectacle
The North Forney High School Pride of Falcon Nation Band captivated audiences with their 2025 field production, “Sinister.” This visually striking performance features a dramatic design highlighted by a massive snake prop that spans the length of the football field, a striking element that has garnered attention throughout North Texas. The North Forney Band continues to set a high standard in musical excellence, dedication, and pride, reinforcing its status as one of the premier marching ensembles in the region.
Forney High School: A Powerful Tribute
The Forney High School Band delivered a stirring performance of their 2025 production, “The Unforgiven,” which includes an eclectic mix of music from renowned composers such as Mozart and Beethoven, alongside iconic pieces by Ennio Morricone, Johnny Cash, and Metallica. This year’s production highlights the exceptional talents of featured soloists Jace Newton, Holden Allen, Brody Bryant, Jace Newman, Colin Ballard, Dylan Traylor, Harold Gordon, Zane Ganesh, and Olivia Stephens, showcasing the diverse musical abilities within the ensemble.
Looking Ahead: Area C UIL Marching Contest
Both bands are now preparing for the upcoming UIL Area C Marching Contest, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.
