Organizers for Forney’s Hometown Christmas 2012 will be working hard over the next two months to pull together the many, many groups, businesses and organizations that have loyally participated in Forney’s annual Christmas festival over the past nine years.
Organizers for Forney’s Hometown Christmas 2012 will be working hard over the next two months to pull together the many, many groups, businesses and organizations that have loyally participated in Forney’s annual Christmas festival over the past nine years.
A day long celebration that highlights Forney’s spirit of community involvement is what is being sought by the Forney Chamber of Commerce and the City of Forney and all of Forney is invited to participate in FHTC 2012.
Returning this year will be the 1664 sq. ft. Synthetic Ice Skating Rink which will be joined by this year’s new attraction a 28 ft. high Zip Line that offers a 200 ft. sliding drop that will thrill children and adults alike. FHTC 2012 will also provide a long list of other attractions including the “Wizzer”, a four-seat, self-propelled swinging ride and a four-arm Giant Bungee Trampoline, both of which were extremely popular at FHTC 2011.
Official FHTC 2012 Sponsors are being solicited and this year’s event will offer more than 40 attractions including the new rocking ship that is sure to generate a long line of parents and children and the always popular Rock Climbing Wall, Mechanical Bull and Vertical Adrenaline Rush.
Hometown Christmas Charity Bingo will return as will the annual Hometown Christmas Pie Eating Contests. With an adult and two youth divisions, the FHTC 2012 Pie Contests will again be held on the Main Stage and entries are currently being accepted from those willing try to consume a 9 inch Christmas pie within the fastest time, to win a flat screen television.
The FHTC Committee is also currently accepting Retail and Food Vendors, Parade and Entertainment Entries and those interested in participating in FHTC 2012 is encouraged to contact one of the following FHTC Committee Members.
