The Forney Bank of America was robbed at gunpoint on the morning of May 18, 2012. The Bank of America is located at 100 E. US Hwy. 80 at Pinson Road. It was held up by armed gunmen at approximately 10:45 a.m., with the robbers getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Forney Bank of America was robbed at gunpoint on the morning of May 18, 2012. The Bank of America is located at 100 E. US Hwy. 80 at Pinson Road. It was held up by armed gunmen at approximately 10:45 a.m., with the robbers getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
This same Bank of America was robbed twice in November of 2011, both were on a Friday, and one of those robberies also occurred at 10:45 a.m. Those bank robbers were never captured. The previous robberies were done by two men while witnesses described today's robbery as being conducted by several armed, masked gunmen. There are no further descriptions of the suspects at this time.
The Jackrabbit Quick Stop on Broad Street and Bois D'Arc in Forney was robbed at gunpoint recently as well, however it is unknown if there is any connection between the robberies. B of A has surveillance cameras inside and on the exterior of their building, which will hopefully lead to the identification of the suspects.
Detective Michael Clay of the Forney Police Department said that the investigators are working on leads and he will release additional information soon.
