HEATH, Texas — The City of Heath has scheduled two public meetings to discuss two major projects — the Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 widening project and an update to the city’s comprehensive plan.
HEATH, Texas — The City of Heath has scheduled two public meetings to discuss two major projects — the Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 widening project and an update to the city’s comprehensive plan.
Both meetings will be held on October 15, 2015, at City Hall which is located at 200 Laurence Drive.
The City of Heath will hold a “Kick-Off Meeting” at 6 p.m. at City Hall for an update to the city’s comprehensive plan which is the guiding document used for future development. “This planning effort will provide goals, recommendations, and action items for the City's growth and development for the next 10 to 20 years,” according to the City of Heath.
“The plan will address demographics, land use, community livability, and the proposed Heath Village concept,” stated the City of Heath. “The plan will incorporate realistic recommendations and strategies that will continue to help shape the City's growth and redevelopment.”
The comprehensive plan update project is expected to last approximately nine months under consultants Freese and Nichols, Inc. The project’s website can be found here, clients.freese.com/heath.
At 7:30 p.m., at City Hall, Texas Department of Transportation representatives and Rockwall County Commissioner Lee Gilbert will provide an update to the FM 740 widening project which is underway between FM 1140 north to FM 1140 south.
