HEATH, Texas — Heath students raised over $900 to purchase pet resuscitation kits for emergency response vehicles.
The students, with the First United Methodists Church of Heath Missions Group, attended the City of Heath City Council meeting on October 13, 2015, to donate the pet oxygen and resuscitation kits to be equipped in all Heath Department of Public Safety emergency response vehicles.
“The kits include specially-designed animal masks to be used both on conscious pets that have suffered from smoke inhalation and pets that need to be resuscitated after losing consciousness from exposure to toxic fumes,” City of Heath spokesperson Suzanne Brooke stated.
