Terrell community mourns the death of 12-year-old girl, Zusette Moreno
Zusette Moreno is believed – by family, friends, and classmates – to be a victim of bullying and that an attack at school led to her eventual death days later.
According to a joint press release from the City of Terrell and the Terrell ISD, a preliminary autopsy report from the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office revealed that there were “no signs of trauma or assault identified in the medical autopsy.” Zusette's mother, Blanca Primero, says she still believes that an alleged assault was the cause of her daughter's death regardless of the report. Primero said she has hired a lawyer but the cause of death will take weeks to be determined.
