At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, October 6, 2013, the driver of an SUV described as a Jeep Grand Cherokee careened off of westbound US Highway 80 and rolled over before returning to an upright position.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, October 6, 2013, the driver of an SUV described as a Jeep Grand Cherokee careened off of westbound US Highway 80 and rolled over before returning to an upright position.
The accident occurred just after the East Fork Trinity River bridge near the Kaufman County and Dallas County border. According to the Forney Fire Department, the female Forney resident was uninjured but taken by ambulance to be evaluated at an area hospital.
After leaving the road, the Jeep hit a cable median before rolling down a 20-foot embankment and coming to a rest on the service road below.
