FORNEY, Texas – School officials report there were no injuries after a school bus carrying three students was involved in a minor accident with a Ford F-150 on Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2014.
The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. at the intersectino of Country View Lane and Farm-to-Market (FM) 741. The bus was attempting to exit Country View Lane when it sideswiped the truck. According to James Law, who is the driver of the truck, the bus sideswiped his truck as it pulled out from the stop sign.
The three students were released at the scene after an evaluation by East Texas Medical Center paramedics. The accident caused minor traffic delays once nearby Forney High School students were released from school. The accident was cleared at approximately 4:18 p.m.
An earlier version of this story included a preliminary damage report from the Forney ISD which indicated damage to the rear of the bus. Information has been provided indicating the damage was to the rear of the truck which was caused by the bus.
