There are less than ten more days before the second annual Unity Bowl game between cross-town rivals Forney High School and North Forney High School and parade float construction is well underway for the nearly 100 floats in the second annual Unity Parade on October 19, 2013.
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at Jackrabbit Stadium at Warren Middle School. The parade will go through historic downtown Forney on South Bois D'Arc Street and circle back around on East Main Street and South Center Street to Johnson Elementary.
Float participants will begin lining up in the Jackrabbit Stadium parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Parade organizers from the Forney Lions Club ask that all parade participants be dropped off in front of Warren Middle School and not in the stadium parking lot.
