Forney, Texas – A rollover accident caused brief delays for motorists on westbound Interstate Highway (IH) 20 in Kaufman County on Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., a white BMW traveling westbound rolled over and landed upright in the right shoulder near mile marker 493 just before the Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 exit. The right lane of traffic was closed while emergency crews waited for a wrecker to clear the vehicle.
The condition of the driver was unknown at the time of reporting. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the accident.
A Kaufman County Sheriff's Office deputy, several Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, an East Texas Medical Center (ETMC) ambulance, and the Forney Fire Department responded to the accident.
