BOBBY LEE SIMS, a 46-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested on December 12th by the Terrell Police Department on charges of indecent exposure with two or more previous convictions, as well as failure to identify himself to law enforcement.

The incident was reported as occurring on the 11th.

Sims, who is currently being held on a $25,000 bond, was booked into Kaufman County Jail. Further details regarding his court dates will be released as they become available.

This arrest follows a similar incident earlier this year. On the night of January 9, 2024, Irving Police Officers responded to a report of indecent exposure. Acting on the description provided, officers located Sims in the area. Upon their approach, he fled on foot, prompting a pursuit. Despite his attempts to evade capture, officers successfully apprehended him after a physical struggle. Sims was subsequently booked into the Irving Jail at 11:07 PM.

During the January arrest, Sims faced multiple charges, including indecent exposure, evading arrest detention, and resisting arrest, all classified as misdemeanors. Notably, he has a significant criminal history, including a conviction for Indecency With A Child By Exposure on January 21, 2011. Following this conviction, Sims served a six-year prison sentence and is currently listed as a High Risk Level offender on the Texas Public Sex Offender Website.

As the investigation continues, authorities urge anyone with additional information related to Sims' activities to come forward.
