FORNEY, Texas — With four games remaining in the season, the Forney High School girls soccer team clinched a playoff berth with their shutout win over cross-town rival North Forney High School on Monday night.
FORNEY, Texas — With four games remaining in the season, the Forney High School girls soccer team clinched a playoff berth with their shutout win over cross-town rival North Forney High School on Monday night.
Forney is also leading in points in District 12-5A with 28 followed by Rockwall-Heath, 22; Royse City, 21; Mesquite Poteet, 21; North Forney, 13; West Mesquite, 7; South Garland, 7; and Terrell, 1.
Forney’s Kayleigh Phillips scored two goals, one assisted by Ashley Brewton, and assisted in Forney’s other two goals which were made by Caylon McMillan.
The Jackrabbits will play Tuesday night against Mesquite Poteet at home at 7:15 p.m. followed by an away game at West Mesquite on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 1:45 p.m. Forney will then face-off against top district contenders Rockwall-Heath on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at home at 7:15 p.m. and Royse City away on March 20, 2015, at 7:15 p.m.
