FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School baseball team swept Woodrow Wilson High School in a best-of-three series to capture a Bi-District title and advance to the Area-Round of the playoffs.
FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School baseball team swept Woodrow Wilson High School in a best-of-three series to capture a Bi-District title and advance to the Area-Round of the playoffs.
The Jackrabbits defeated Woodrow Wilson in two games, 7-1 and 5-1, respectively. Due to inclement weather, game 1 was moved from Garland to Mesquite’s Tillery Field with a late, 10 p.m. start. The series wrapped up with a 9 a.m. Saturday game 2.
Area-Round will be played at McKinney Boyd beginning Thursday night in a best-of-three series against District 9-5A Champions Frisco High School. Game 1 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, game 2 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015, and, if needed, game 3 will be played on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1 p.m.
