GREENVILLE, S.C. (McMurry University) – McMurry University volleyball setter Jessica Tennis (Forney, Texas/Forney H.S.) has been named as the National Christian College Athletic Association's "Student-Athlete of the Week" for the period ending November 1, it was announced November 3, 2015.
Tennis, a sophomore, set a McMurry University school single match record with 14 service aces vs. Rust College last Saturday. Tennis averaged 1.42 aces and 5.00 assists per set, while hitting .667 in nine attacks last week.
On the year, Tennis has appeared in 22 of the team's 25 matches. She is averaging 3.88 assists and 1.81 digs per set. She also has 18 service aces.
Tennis helped the War Hawks to a perfect 4-0 week, as the team won the Centenary Halloween Tournament.
