FORNEY, Texas – Three Forney Independent School District (ISD) athletes were recognized at the May 19, 2014, Forney ISD Board of Trustees meeting for their participation in the UIL Class 4A State Track and Field Meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, earlier this month.
FORNEY, Texas – Three Forney Independent School District (ISD) athletes were recognized at the May 19, 2014, Forney ISD Board of Trustees meeting for their participation in the UIL Class 4A State Track and Field Meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, earlier this month.
Forney High School senior and Baylor signee Kiana Hawn medaled in two events including defending her state championship title in the 100 meter hurdles. Hawn collected a gold medal in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.82 seconds. Hawn also took a silver medal in the long jump with a jump of 19 feet and 4 ¼ inches.
North Forney High School junior Kyle Garcia snagged the bronze medal in the boys 3200 meter run with a time of 9:27.77. Forney High School sophomore Caylon McMillan finished 8th in the state in the girls 3200 meter run with a time of 11:30.58.
