FORNEY, Texas – Three Forney ISD track and field athletes will be heading to Austin, Texas, for the 2014 UIL Track & Field State Meet on Friday, May 9, 2014, and Saturday, May 10, 2014.
FORNEY, Texas – Three Forney ISD track and field athletes will be heading to Austin, Texas, for the 2014 UIL Track & Field State Meet on Friday, May 9, 2014, and Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Forney High School's Kiana Hawn seeded first in the state in the girls 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.51. Hawn also seeded first in the state for girls long jump with which measured at 18-9.05 at the regional competition.
Also from Forney High School, Caylon McMillan seeded 9th in the girls 3200 meter run with a time of 11:27.00. McMillan will also compete in the girls 1600 meter run with an 8th-in-the-state seed time of 5:10.15.
North Forney's Kyle Garcia seeded 4th in the state for boys 3200 meter run with a time of 9:26.42.
The state meet will be at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas.
