FORNEY, Texas — Forney High School’s Jaylon Hutchings is in the running for the Dallas Morning News’ SportsDay HS weekly Hero award for his performance in the Jackrabbit’s game against Wills Point last week.
FORNEY, Texas — Forney High School’s Jaylon Hutchings is in the running for the Dallas Morning News’ SportsDay HS weekly Hero award for his performance in the Jackrabbit’s game against Wills Point last week.
Hutchings, a sophomore defensive tackle, completed 12 tackles with two for a lost yardage. He also recovered two fumbles and returned one for a 97-yard touchdown. In addition to the returned touchdown, Hutchings rushed for an 8-yard touchdown.
The Jackrabbits defeated Wills Point, 56-21.
Hutchings was also named The Forney High School Athlete of the Week.
