The only points for the Terrell Tigers came late in the fourth quarter against North Forney at Forney's City Bank Stadium on Friday night, September 27, 2013, to open 10-4A District play on the Falcon's homecoming night.

The first couple touchdowns were quick for the Falcons. Terrell gave up the first possession of the game and punted the ball to the North Forney 49 where North Forney's Armani Watts was waiting to receive it. Watts nearly returned the ball for a touchdown but was tripped up near the 5-yard line. Quarterback Hunter Herndon snuck the ball in on 3rd down for a 3-yard rushing touchdown.

On Terrell's next possession, Terrell quarterback Michael Nelson's pass fell short of the receiver and was grabbed by Armani Watts while dragging his feet along the side line to stay inbounds. Another big play was made by Tyrone Morgan, Watts' cousin, on a 22-yard pass completion set the Falcons up for their second touchdown of the night on another rushing touchdown by quarterback Hunter Herndon for 1 yard.

Bad luck followed the Tigers into their third possession. Quarterback Michael Nelson threw a high pass to a receiver in one-on-one coverage but apparently he didn't notice the #5 on the Falcon jersey. Armani Watts read the ball and intercepted another Nelson pass, this time returning the ball for a 46-yard interception with 1:03 left in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Falcons set up kicker Hunter McClain for a 36-yard field goal that he quickly sunk for another 3 points. The rest of the second quarter went back and forth without any more scoring. Hunter Herndon threw his only interception of the night late in the second quarter but the Tigers weren't able to capitalize before the half.

Halftime score: North Forney Falcons 24, Terrell Tigers 0.

Kicker Hunter McClain added another 3 points midway through the 3rd quarter on a 38-yard field goal. A North Forney failed possession and 15-yard penalty on the punt left the Tigers with excellent field position. Tigers quarterback Nelson completed a 16-yard pass to Dewayne Jackson and the Tigers went into the 4th quarter on the North Forney 22-yard line.

Nelson completed another 9-yard pass to Dewayne Jackson to start out the 4th quarter. Nelson then rushed for a 13-yard touchdown to put the Tigers first 6 points on the board. The Tigers attempted a 2-point conversion and failed.

Nelson threw another interception in the 4th quarter but North Forney was unable to capitalize on the newfound possession. After a fumble, recovery, and a loss of 14 yards, the Falcons punted the ball to the Tigers. North Forney received a 15-yard penalty and the Tigers were in great field possession to put another touchdown on the board with two rushing plays by quarterback Nelson for a total of 19 yards and a 1-yard rushing touchdown. The Tigers attempted a 2-point conversion and were again denied by the Falcon defense.

Final score: North Forney Falcons 27, Terrell Tigers 12.
