FORNEY, Texas — The Highland Park High School (4-1, 2-0) Scots defeated the North Forney High School (3-2, 0-2) Falcons on Friday night at City Bank Stadium, 66-7.
FORNEY, Texas — The Highland Park High School (4-1, 2-0) Scots defeated the North Forney High School (3-2, 0-2) Falcons on Friday night at City Bank Stadium, 66-7.
The Falcons lone touchdown on the night came after a 10-play, 75-yard drive which was capped by a Tarik Dickinson 12-yard rush.
In the first quarter, the Scots scored on a Jacob Urbanczyk 4-yard run with John Stephen Jones completing a two-point conversion, a 34-yard field goal by Matteo Cordray, and a 26-yard pass from Jones to Ryan Waters.
In the second quarter, following Dickinson’s touchdown run, the Scots scored on a 2-yard Jack Kozmetsky touchdown run, a 2-yard Jones rushing touchdown, and a 30-yard pass from Jones to Hudson Wood.
In the third quarter, Urnaczyk rushed for a yard to cap a drive and Matt Gahm recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown.
Michalel Clarke rushed for a 5-yard touchdown and Urbanczyk rushed for a 56-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons have a bye week next week and will return October 7, 2016, at City Bank Stadium against Mesquite Poteet High School (3-2, 2-0) at 7:30 p.m.
