Forney’s quarterback Devon Rideaux threw for 178 yards, two touchdowns, and rushed for another touchdown.
Devon connected with Aaron Rideaux on a 14-yard pass to start the scoring for the Jackrabbits. Cameron Harris following it up with a 28-yard interception for a return to bring the Jackrabbits to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Devon connected with Spencer Harrison on a 2-yard pass for a third uncontested touchdown in the second quarter.
The Eagles snagged back-to-back touchdowns off the arm of Montana Meador who connected with Colton Brown on a 14-yard pass and Brandon Price on a 5-yard pass.
Before the half, the Jackrabbits capped their scoring with a Devon Rideaux 21-yard touchdown run.
The Jackrabbits went into halftime with a 28-14 lead.
The Jackrabbits held the Eagles to one touchdown in the fourth quarter, Meador 4-yard pass to Kale Ridge, to win the non-district matchup 28-21.
The Jackrabbit defense forced two lost fumbles and intercepted to Meador passes on the night. The offense accumulated 260 total yards to the Eagles 230.
Forney’s Brendan Vaughn, an OSU verbal commit, led the receiving with 3 receptions for 49 yards. Aaron Rideaux completed 4 receptions for 42 yards and another 22 yards rushing on 4 carries.
