Despite the loss, Falcons quarterback Colby Suits completed an 11-yard pass to Jackson Ennels in the final minutes of the game to surpass 1,000 total passing yards on the season.
Wylie started the scoring with three uncontested touchdowns in the first quarter — two of which were back-to-back aided by an interception.
Wylie East’s Eno Benjamin rushed in the Raiders first touchdown on a 36-yard run with 9:49 in the first quarter. Benjamin would go on to score 6 rushing touchdowns and pass for another 2 — connecting with Corey Eggins on a 25-yard pass with 9:11 in the first quarter and Ronald Smith on a 36-yard pass with 7:12 in the first quarter.
The Falcons would drive 70 yards on 10 plays for their first touchdown on the night with Suits connecting with Ennels on a 6-yard pass to finish the drive.
North Forney forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and Suits connected a 38-yard pass to Khari Dickinson on the very next play for another Falcon touchdown.
Benjamin finished a first quarter drive with 11:12 in the second quarter on a 6-yard scamper and Raider touchdown.
On the next possession, Suits completed a 12-yard pass to Barclay Ford followed up by a 52-yard pass to Khari Dickinson for another Falcon touchdown.
Wylie East contested in four plays on another Benjamin rushing touchdown and again on their next possession with Benjamin rushing for another 22 yards and a touchdown.
Wylie East led 42-21 going into halftime.
Benjamin would rush for another 17 yards and 52 yards for Raider touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
North Forneys’ Jake Moore returned a forced fumble for a touchdown ending the scoring at 28-56 in favor of the Raiders.
Wylie East amassed 576 total yards to North Forney’s 267 total yards.
Suits passed for 228 yards on 33 attempts and 3 touchdowns — surpassing 1,000 total passing yards on the season and 15 touchdown passes.
David Flores led the Falcons rushing game with 26 yards on 7 carries followed up by Tarik Dickinson with 23 yards on 4 carries. Khari Dickinson led the receiving with 106 yards on 3 receptions and 2 touchdowns with Ford’s 63 yards on 5 receptions, Ennels with 36 yards on 4 receptions and a touchdown, and Jordan Carroll with 12 yards on 2 receptions.
North Forney next plays former district opponent Highland Park at City Bank Stadium on Friday night, September 23, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.
