FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School Falcons (4-3, 1-3) mounted over 450 total yards en route to their 30-19 victory over the Royse City Bulldogs (2-5, 0-3) on Friday night at the Royse City ISD Stadium.

The win puts North Forney in a three-way tie for fifth place in District 15-5A with cross-town rival Forney High School (3-4, 1-3) and Lovejoy (2-5, 1-3).
Royse City scored the first and only touchdown in the first quarter on a 6-yard Matthew Yelverton rush — giving the Bulldogs their only lead of the night.
North Forney’s Colby Suits capped a drive with a 2-yard quarterback sneak to tie the game at 7-7. Suits would go on to throw for 225 yards and two touchdowns on the night as well as rushing for another 36 and two touchdowns of his own.
Nathaniel Diaz connected a 20-yard field goal to give the Falcons a 10-7 lead — a lead they would not give up despite a 1-point margin in the third quarter.
Suits connected with Khari Dickinson on a 45-yard touchdown pass and the Bulldogs sealed the half with a 43-yard Mario Mares field goal. The score was 17-10 in favor of the Falcons going into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Bulldogs scored first, but failed the extra point attempt and missed the opportunity to tie the score, now 17-16.
The third quarter ended with the Falcons up 24-19 following a Suits 1-yard rushing touchdown for the Falcons and another Mares 22-yard field goal for the Bulldogs.
Dickinson scored the lone touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 39-yard pass from Suits putting the Falcons up 30-19. Dickinson received for 110 yards on the night on 4 receptions and two touchdowns and rushed for another 17 yards.
North Forney’s Calvin Ribera rushed for 154 yards on 23 carries and Barclay Ford received for 87 yards on 6 receptions.
The Falcons will play Lovejoy next Thursday at City Bank Stadium at 7 p.m.
