The North Forney Falcons took a huge hit on Thursday night, October 4, 2012, facing off against the Highland Park Scots. The Falcons were coming off of win against the Terrell Tigers when they beat them last week during the Tiger's homecoming. The Scots were coming off of their defeat of the Forney Jackrabbits on a similar margin, 42 to 7.
The North Forney Falcons took a huge hit on Thursday night, October 4, 2012, facing off against the Highland Park Scots. The Falcons were coming off of win against the Terrell Tigers when they beat them last week during the Tiger's homecoming. The Scots were coming off of their defeat of the Forney Jackrabbits on a similar margin, 42 to 7.
The Scots didn't lose a beat since their game against the Jackrabbits, they won the toss and elected to start the game with their offense. Their offense moved meticulously down the field moving the chains, run after run, drilling through the Falcons defense. Highland Park QB Jet Tuma passed to Hank Howard for the first touchdown of the game.
The Falcons quickly responded by scoring their first touchdown in under three minutes. Their drive started with a huge catch by Armani Watts from quarterback Hunter Herndon. Herndon scrambled in the pocket on the next play and broke to the outside left searching for a receiver, he found Armani Watts again to set the Falcons up for a touchdown run by Damien Palmer.
Unfortunately for the Falcons this would be their only touchdown of the game. The Highland Parks Scots racked up another 43 points before the end of the game. Final score, Highland Park 50 to North Forney Falcons 7.
The Scot's Hank Howard put a total of 24 points on the board with two runs and two catches.
The North Forney Falcons are now 1-1 in 10-4A district play and 2-3 in their overall season. The Falcons will play the West Mesquite Wranglers next Friday night at City Bank Stadium in Forney at 7:30 p.m. The Wranglers are 2-0 in district and 4-1 overall, they beat Terrell last week 61-14, the Falcons beat Terrell 40-10.
