FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School (6-7) girls basketball team sealed their playoff hopes with a 45-32 win over cross-town rival Forney High School (4-8) on Tuesday.
FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School (6-7) girls basketball team sealed their playoff hopes with a 45-32 win over cross-town rival Forney High School (4-8) on Tuesday.
North Forney outscored Forney in all but one quarter going 17-10, 5-6, 8-2, and 15-14. North Forney will advance to the UIL District 12-5A playoffs next week.
Scoring for North Forney were Charmece King (10), Breanna Powell (9), Kevara Manus (7), Comella Brown (6), Nikki Okehi (6), Cassie Stevens (6), and Mary Oyewo (1). Scoring for Forney were Bailey Hamsher (7), Kassi Courtney (6), Bri Maddox (6), Alley Crowley (3), Madeline Davis (3), Styler Vaidnas (3), Analynne Gabler (2), and Kaylynne Kennedy (2).
North Forney will play Dallas’ Bryan Adams High School in the bi-district round of playoffs on Monday, February 16, 2015.
