FORNEY, Texas — North Forney High School (NFHS) football Head Coach and NFHS Athletic Director Lance Gary stepped down, according to Forney Independent School District Athletic Director Neal Weaver.
FORNEY, Texas — North Forney High School (NFHS) football Head Coach and NFHS Athletic Director Lance Gary stepped down, according to Forney Independent School District Athletic Director Neal Weaver.
“Coach Lance Gary has stepped down as head football coach and campus athletic coordinator for the North Forney Falcons,” according to Weaver in a statement on Wednesday.
Gary joined North Forney High School during the Falcon’s transition from 3A to 4A, which is now considered 5A, during the 2012-13 school year.
“We appreciate his work in our district, his integrity, and his heart for kids, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” stated Weaver.
The position is expected to be posted this week and the district will begin seeking a replacement.
